New Alcohol-free Hand Sanitizing Gel With Manuka Honey by Honeymark

Manuka Honey has an antibacterial activity primarily due to the presence of hydrogen peroxide which is formed in a slow-release manner by the enzyme glucose oxidase. Manuka Honey can be diluted and still destroy bacteria very efficiently. It also contains an additional antibacterial compound found only in honey produced from the Leptospermum plant which is known as the Unique Manuka Factor or UMF. In addition, Manuka Honey is considered to be antimicrobial which means that it can destroy any infectious microorganisms whether they be bacterial, viral or fungal.
